Very lightweight and great quality lasts for a while

I bought the adidas adidas F50 Elite Lamine Yamal Laceless FG Soccer Cleats for my son when they came out on March 5th. It was a splurge, but this is his favorite player and he was excited about the world cup. By the end of June they started splitting on the top of the toe box. I went into the Adidas Company store and they directed me to call customer service. I called customer service and after waiting on hold for 30 minutes, they said that the shoes were not covered as this is considered normal wear and tear. How is this possible? Are they saying that $270 cleats are meant to last less than 4 months? My son has only worn these to play soccer on turf. We have bought lots of cleats, but never ones that were this expensive. Of all the cleats he has owned these lasted the least amount of time. Come on Adidas. If you are going to charge these insane prices you should do better. Your warranty should cover shoes splitting at the toe box. So extremely disappointed.
