Very comfortable to wear and great to wear in the rain

I picked this up from an outlet for a steal (over 75% off RRP) and for that price it's an excellent jacket. It's lightweight and warm, with 600 fill power duck down, making it ideal for UK weather. It's roomy enough to wear over multiple layers, but doesn't look too big when worn over just a t-shirt. The water repellent coating causes light rain to bead up, but I wouldn't trust it in a downpour. The colour makes a nice change from black and it's still quite subtle, not bright like some outdoor clothing. There are a few niggles that I can overlook for the price I paid, but would make me reconsider if it were full price. Firstly, it is listed as having zipped pockets, but this is not the case; there are only two pockets, both fastened by a single popper, so not the most secure. The jacket would benefit greatly from a chest pocket as well, either inside or out. Secondly, the hood is quite large and it is not adjustable, so it doesn't do a great job of keeping out the rain when it's windy. On the positive side, the zip comes up quite high, keeping the neck warm with the hood up or down. Finally, the printed logo on the chest looks like it might peel off over time; an embroidered logo or patch would have been better in my opinion. Overall, this is a nice jacket that serves it's purpose well, despite some shortcomings. While I wouldn't pay full price for the reasons listed, I think it's an excellent purchase if bought at a discount.
